Sue Brown

I have worked in the animal care industry for over 30 years on St Croix, US Virgin Islands. I also spent 2 years on Vancouver Island assisting a veterinarian practice. I love my islands!

The majority of my career has been as a veterinary technician/animal nurse. My years of experience and wide range of skills range from being a surgical nurse to animal husbandry… and everything in between.

My interests and passions have always been in animal behavior, rehabilitation, and dog training. With 25 years in veterinary practices and 5 years at the St Croix animal shelter, my level of knowledge and compassion is expansive and heart felt. I humbly feel that my expertise far surpasses the average caregiver. There is very little I have not experienced in this industry.

I have been very fortunate to successfully foster and help many puppies and dogs overcome medical and/or behavior problems through my work at the St Croix animal shelter.

My enthusiasm and commitment in training my own German Shepherds for the past 20 years has grown to helping many other dog owners to have healthy well behaved members of their pet families.

I have performed basic obedience training, fun sport agility, plus countless hours (years) of training my personal shepherd Elsa in tracking, search and rescue work.

Along with these skills I have many years of experience handling, treating, and caring for dogs & cats in a variety of capacities… socializing puppies, adapting ferals, getting timid & shy animals to come out of their shells, helping to stop aggressive behavior, and so much more.

Sharing my experience, knowledge, and skills, I can help you have a better, more enjoyable life with your pet. Together we can achieve a well-balanced family pet. That is the ultimate goal. Let’s combine all this great stuff into one big ball and roll with it.
